Honorable Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav officially inaugurated the Sarsi Island located in the picturesque Bansagar Dam of Shahdol district. Developed at a cost of ₹29 crore by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Corporation, Sarsi Island aims to bolster eco-tourism and provide a tranquil getaway for visitors. During the event, the Chief Minister shared plans to further enhance tourism in the region by connecting Sarsi Island to prominent wildlife and heritage destinations, including the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve and Sanjay National Park. This initiative aligns with the state's vision of transforming Madhya Pradesh into a key eco-tourism and heritage hub. To celebrate the inauguration, Dr. Mohan Yadav took a boat ride around the island, showcasing its recreational appeal to tourists and marking the destination's formal opening.
